At The Croft we have experience in hosting a wide range of celebrations including special birthdays, anniversaries, weddings, christenings and funeral teas. Our facilities are easily able to cater for meetings, training courses, and networking events too.
If you are interested in Rugby we can also arrange for your event to be held on one of our 1st XV games where players come to meet you and your guests to ensure a very memorable day.

The Vic Roebuck Suite:
Named after a character at the Club who we all have lasting memories of, this room will guarantee you have an enjoyable evening, as did the person it was lovingly named after.
With a vantage point over the ground, The Vic Roebuck Suite has recently undergone the latest transformation.
This room is more modern in its style and has its own private access ensuring your guests are all together. A private balcony also allows your guests to enjoy the fresh air. As the room is situated upstairs, this limits the range of catering that can be provided to a cold buffet. However, a real bonus to this room is that packages, including food and drinks, are available and you have the flexibility that your guests can help themselves.
For meetings, training courses or networking events this room is also a perfect choice, and the private access and facilities will not disappoint.
This room can hold up to 70 guests for a buffet style function. Prices for the Vic Roebuck Suite start from £100 +VAT and packages including food and drinks are available. (Cold food only).

The Jack Baker Lounge:
For an informal get together, or smaller sized party, this is the perfect room to host from 20 up to 50 guests. A traditional style room it encourages your guests to naturally relax in their surroundings to ensure a successful occasion.
With its own private bar, newly refurbished toilets, and separate entrance, it offers you the essential facilities for any type of event in a charming and cosy atmosphere, which is sure to leave a lasting memory with your guests.
Hot or cold food can be served in the Jack Baker Lounge and our in-house bar and catering team can plan a menu to your requirements and budgets.
Prices for the hire of the Jack Baker Lounge start from as little as £100 + VAT and packages which include catering are available.

Perhaps one might imagine a party filled atmosphere with raucous laughter with friends and team mates in here? And you’d be correct! However, this room is like a chameleon – it can easily be transformed into something quite different, depending on what you desire. As the largest of the club’s 3 rooms, it has hosted weddings, sit down meals, funeral wakes, birthdays, meetings, christenings and much, much more.
Up to 100 people can enjoy a 4 course meal here on either round or rectangular tables (to suit your preference) or 140 people can enjoy an evening reception or a party. We are exceptionally proud of the transformation of this room as it’s created contemporary, atmospheric surroundings while still remaining a really affordable option. Due to the club use throughout the winter months, weddings can only be catered for during the summer months. For people with a budget to stick to, this room is the perfect choice to make your special day perfect.
The Clubhouse also has a projector and screen so that training courses or larger meetings can be hosted here.
While a fully stocked bar will also ensure that your guests are adequately replenished, our newly refurbished toilets will not disappoint either.
Prices for hire start from £150 +VAT, and hot and cold food can provided or a sit down meal with service or buffet style.

CATERING & HOSPITALITY
As part of the recent refurbishment our kitchen was totally replaced with the help of key sponsors, to whom we are eternally grateful.
It has been the key to transforming Burton Rugby Club from an adequate venue for games and rugby social events to being a facility that caters for all events. Our experienced team across the bar and kitchen work closely together to ensure we deliver every time. We call it “working as one”.
This is a mantra which is used across the club and it really does ensure success.
The range of food we can offer for your event can be tailored to suit any budget but without compromising on the quality or delivery. With prior notice, special dietary requirements are also catered for – you can be assured our team will work hard to accommodate any requests. Cold buffets, which include sandwiches, snacks, pasties, sausage rolls, wraps and salad, start from £5.50 per head.
Hot food can be catered for at any level but as a guideline we can supply a standard hot food dish, such as Steak & Ale Pie with potatoes and vegetables, for £8.00 per head to 3 course meals for £12.50 per head.
If you would like something extra special for your wedding breakfast then we have food and drinks packages available from £18.00 per person. We welcome any request and will be only too happy to help.
